Road to the Referendum: adult classes

By 30 August 2013No Comments

New term, new adult classes, and this term I’m leading a new (and exciting class) at Wester Hailes on Wednesdays and at Royston Wardieburn on , ROAD TO THE REFERENDUM.
These courses will identify, discuss and debate the big issues which will shape attitudes in Scotland as the referendum on independence approaches. Possible topics are taxes and benefits: Europe, foreign policy, nuclear weapons and currency; the monarchy and the constitution; trade, industry and commerce; and pensions, health and education. The class itself however, will shape the contents by agreeing priority topics to assist participants in reaching an informed decision on what may, in the longer term, be the most important ballot they ever cast.
